Labor Day Weekend

Auntie Nan came to stay with us the Tuesday before Labor day. So we decided to go to the zoo on Friday, and then we stayed overnight in the Hilton in Downtown San Diego (thanks to priceline.com). After the zoo we checked into the hotel and then went to dinner at Rockin Baja Lobster. Very Yummy! After that Auntie Nan and I sent the boys back to the room with daddy and went to a Mac store by ourselves to get beautification items. Then Saturday we met Uncle Phil, Aunt Karen, and Jamie Fournier at Mission Bay, and they had their boat. We had lots of fun! The sun decided come out half way through the day and it got nice and warm, so it felt good to get on the innertube. Big Brother and Little Brother had lots of fun in the sand and water.

I had bought a pool the week before when it was very hot, then it turned just warm. But the kids wanted to swim anyways. By the time they got out they were very cold...their lips were shaking!

Big brother is in preschool now and is loving it. I can't believe I already have a child ready for school. In some ways its exciting but in others its sad. What I am going to do when both kids are in school. They are my whole life and keep me busy, so when they aren't home, what am I going to do? Probably all the things I have been wanting to get done but can't because they can't seem to give me the time! :) Painting, blogging, scrapbooking, baking, exercising, relaxing! :)
Does anyone (whoever reads my blog) have a probably with keeping within their grocery budget lately? I sure hav been. I can't seem to fix the prob either. I have cute back on somethings but if I cute back more, it'll mean more rice and bean! :) Crazy uh. It food keeps going up I dont know what I'll do! Any advice? Help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to try to do better on keeping my blog updated. The last few months have been busy with moving, then getting the place clean, then Chub-Chubs falling and now he's sick, so things can get crazy around here. But here is a few pics of him after he fell.

Our 5th Anniversary Cruise.

A four night three day cruise with Royal Caribbean. Our boys stayed with Nanna. It left from San Pedro Port on Monday Feb 18th. We got on the ship by 12:00 and had lunch, then by 1:30 our room was ready. After that we just walked around looking at everything. There are shops on board, a Viking Crown Lounge that you can sit in and see all around because it is at the very top of the ship and is circular. Very neat to sit in and watch the ship move out to sea. There was an safety drill at 4:30 then after that we went to sit in the spa and the sauna because I miss placed a rib coughing so hard with the life jacket on! The spa helped. :) Our dinner seating wasn't until 8:30 so we had plenty of time to take it easy. Tuesday morning the ship docked in San Deigo by 8 am. We slept in of course and after breakfast got off the ship and went to see the USS Midway. Pretty neat. Such a huge ship! Then we walked over to Sea Port Villiage and browsed through stores. Hubby found a book, so we went back to the ship, ate a late lunch and then lounged around until time to get reay for dinner. It was formal night Tuesday. The food of course was good. I had tarimasu for dessert. So YUMMMMMMMY! Wednesday we anchored in Catalina Island's bay. We just walked around looking at the shops and houses. The was a comedian show at 6:45 on ship so we got back in time for that. Then ate dinner, and the Chocolate Lovers Buffet was at 11:30 pm. It was very well decorated and they had tons of different desserts. All you could possible want to eat! Thursday the shipped dock in Esenada, Mexico. Its an interestind town. Lots of little shops. My hubby bought me a necklace. An flower made out of a abalony shell. Thursday was our last night on the ship. We went to a musical show at 6:45, then ate. We were tired and went to be ealier than any other night. Friday we were off the ship by 8 something. We both had a relaxing time. It was so nice to not have to change a diaper or anything else. My husband and I decided to take a vacation. Just us and our kids which we had not done in almost two years. So we looked up on Priceline hotels in Monteray Bay. We got an three star hotel for just about the same price as an one star hotel! Cool uh? We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn at Monteray Bay. Just a couple of miles away from the ocean! We had a great time. We left Wednesday night and drove to Solvine, a cute little dutch town, and stayed at the Kronborg Inn by Bestwestern. Then in the morning we walked around looking at the shops, since it was Thanksgiving morning not much was open. But we did find an little Cafe open and got some ableskivers. They were yummy!!!! Almost like a crepe except thicker and in a ball, served with raspberry sauce and powered sugar. Then we drove on up to Monteray. We decided to take the coastal route. It was very pretty.
We got to Monteray about 2:30, and since we couldn't check into our hotel until 3:00 we went to Fishermen's Warf and walked around. The sea lions were going at it with their unintelligent noises. It was very funny to listen. After we checked into our hotel we got ready to go eat dinner. We ate at an Italian/seafood place. Again since it was Thanksgiving day not many places were open. But this place was good. I had steak and deep fried shrimp and hubby had an seafood pasta dish. Both were very good.
Friday morning we ate at the buffet at the hotel. It was a very gourmet breakfast. They had locs and bagels, made to order omlets, crepes, eggs, pancakes...everything you could think of for breakfast. Then we went to the Aquirium. It was crowed but Big Brother had fun. Right before dinner we went to see an Lighthouse then we ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, and Restuarant. Oh man that was good. We started off with 3/4 lb of shrimp cooked in an Cajun sauce and also in garlic sauce, then we had for our main dish Maui Maui deep fried. For desert we had an fudgy chocolat cake cooked in an mason jar. That was so yummy! And since it was close to Big Brothers birthday they sang to him. He had fun with that.
Saturday morning we drove out of Monteray through an place called 17 mile drive. Its along the coast and has million dollar homes along the way. Very pretty. So we had a good time.

LA Auto Show

My hubby and I went to the LA Auto Show on friday with some friends. We left our boys with Aunt Ellie, so we had the whole day free. We had a good time just slowly walking around looking at all the fancy cars that you couldn't only dream about owning. Not that I would really want to own some of them. I would like one of the mini vans but my husband doesn't like them! I am going to slowly get him used to the idea of owning one someday. :) Here are some of the pics.

I was told today by hotrodhanna that her friend Sarah's sister-in-law and brother-in-law just had a baby girl yesterday morning and she wasn't breathing for 15 mins, and by yesterday evening she was pronounced dead. It is their first baby! So so very sad. We all need to pray that if they do not know the Lord as their Saviour that they would soon, so that they can have a way to get through this. I don't know what I would do if I did not know the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour. He is the only Way. Otherwise life would seem very hard. We should thank the Lord each and everyday for the beautiful, healthy and happy children that we have. Because some people can't get pregnant or never have a child that lives. My husband knows a couple that has a little boy about Big Brother's age, but since they have been trying to have another there has been 7 miscarriages! SEVEN, that is alot...so now they have given up, its too hard on her. So those of us that can get pregnant and have healthy children should be ever so grateful. We are blessed!

Aren't my two boys so cute! :) Chub-Chubs has gotten to be such a character. He probably could walk if
he wanted to, but he won't. He can stand up by himself without hanging onto anything, but if we try to
get him to take a step he just lets himself fall to the ground. He likes to be held so I think he thinks that if
he walks he won't get held as much! He is my cuddly one. I love them both so much.

Both my nieces have the same birthday, just a year apart. So on Sunday, which was their actually birthday, we had cake and opened girts. It was fun to watch them eat cake. Much different than a boy and his first cake. :) I don't have any pictures yet, maybe I can get some from my dad.

Well I have very sad news to post. My best-friends mother passed away this morning to be with the Lord at 8:30. She is without pain and at peace now. It is always an comfort to know that when someone who is the Lords passes away that they are completely at peace and in the Lord's presence. My friend told me that they family had a lot of sweet moments with her. They will need prayer to get them through this very sad time. The Lord will be with them too. Its hard to know what to say to my friend because what she is feeling could be completely different than what I felt after my little girl died. I just want her to know I love her and am here for her.

My Mother-in-laws Wedding

Well my mother-in-law if finally married. It was a nice and simple wedding. Perfect for a second one. She did a good job putting it all together. Everyone was seated at their assigned table and then for the bridesmaids to walk in, we sang # 288 from the Little Flock Hymn book. Then for the Bride to walk in (they all walked in from the back of the room to the center of the tables) we sang # 23, and Jim Hyland was the officiant. Then once they were pronounce husband and wife, they all walked out to hymn # 256. Then the tables were excused one by one to go get food.

Here they are cutting the cake. It was beautiful cake. And tasted very good.
Family pictures were done after everyone was done eating. It was nice and sunny outside.

Big Brother went fishing with Daddy and Great-Grandpa. No fish was caught but they all had fun anyways. Big Brother had so much fun that he fell asleep on Great-Grandpa's lap. So cute!! Moments like that you have to get on camera, because three year olds don't look so cute sometime when they are awake! :) I sure hope 4 yr old are better.

Sad News

I know my sister posted this news on her blog, but for those that haven't been to hers. (She has most of the info on hers) Very sad news. My best-friend's, who is the sister of my sister's best-friend, mom has been diagnosed with bone cancer. I haven't ever had to watch my mother knowing her time on earth is short but I have lost a daughter without ever getting to see her eys open, so I know Janna is going to go through a very rough time. I hope I can be there for her the whole time. Grief is a very strange thing and anyone going through it has to remember anything you are feeling is normal. One day you may be spitting angry (it doesn't make a difference if you know the Lord as your Saviour as to the stages of grief) for brief moments at a time, or you may get angry when someone mentions the person you are grieving over or a person like that person, or you may cry all day, or you may just want to get up that morning and pretend you are not grieving at all and do something fun, or you just may want to sit and reminisce about that person by looking at pictures, or items of theirs. There are many, many different ways to grieve and none of them are stupid or you should never feel dumb, or horrible, or mean about what you are feeling at that moment. Janna, if you read this, remember I love you dearly and am your friend. Even though I am going through something different by losing my little girl, I still can listen or cry with you.

The Weekend

Everyone have a good weekend? I, at least had a good Friday evening! My mother (I am so thankful for her) took my two boys, and after my husband got home at 4:30, he had surprise for me. I was excited all day for this surprise! The surprise was in Temecula, (we were to eat dinner there at 7) by the restaurant. The place is called "Painted Earth", you can paint your own pottery. I chose a squarish plate. It was fun fun fun!! With no 3 yr old saying "mommy, mommy, mommy, I really enjoyed myself. I haven't finished it but when I do I'll take a picture and post it. The restaurant we went to is call Scarcella's Italian Grill, so yummy for good prices (since our budget for those kind of things is limited). That was the best of my weekend. The rest of it my husband was either putting in our neighbors toilets or working moving pipe for the agency he works for. (He's an Backflow cross-connection specialist, not a pipe mover, that was just overtime)

New Wonderful $5 toy

I went to a second hand store in town yesterday and found a battery operated motorcycle. Big Brother latched onto it very quickly, so I bought it. The only problem with it was the battery does not have a charger for it. So, thank goodness for brothers, I am going to take it to my brother and see if it will charge. Their daughter has two battery operated toys, and if that doesn't work then Uncle Bob will fix it. But Big Brother likes to push with his feet and so far has had great fun without it being charged!! I just love second hand stores!!!!! Some how I will try to post a picture.

Here are a few things about me. I have two boys, one is 3 yrs old and the other is 5 months. I have one very missed and loved little girl who did not make it into this world, but is in Heaven. Some day very soon, I hope to see her. I am still grieving for her and do not know if the ache will ever go away, but my two boys help because they are soooo precious and sweet. With my 5 mo. old it took a lot to get him into this world safely. He tried to come at 28 weeks, but I was finally after several scares of pre-term labor, put on a drug to stop the labor and bed rest. (that is lots of fun, let me tell you, just kidding) So after two months of bed rest, little fatso was born a month early weighing 6 lbs 9 oz. (can you imagine what he would of weighed at full-term?) He now weighs at least 17 lbs. He had to be put on formula, because his demand was way more than my tired out, and messed up body could produce, but he loves his bottle and food!!! He will not finish his bottle if he sees his bowel of cereal until he finished the cereal. He loves his big brother. Big brother is a very high demand 3yrs old, who can be very sweet, but sometimes his questions drive me batty by the end of the day. "Mommy what are you doing." -a million times over every day! I will try to post pictures some time. The two boys are very different in some ways and in others very much the same. They keep me busy for sure. But that is good for me.

Well I signed up for a blog. It sure was easier than I thought it would be. Now I'll have to make time to sit down and post on it. My sister is the one who got me to sign up, because she just signed up this week too. It looks like fun to be able to post pictures of our lives so those who know us can see them. So here we go.
